Rodgers claimed that the procedure was carried out by orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache of Los Angeles, who has a long history of working with prominent sportsmen. On the fourth play of his first game with his new team on Monday night—a 22-16 overtime triumph against Buffalo—Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.
