When Will Fortnite Be Back Up

Unfortunately, the servers for the popular online game Fortnite will be shutting down for maintenance later today (March 10, 2023). Fans of Chapter 4 Season 2 can’t wait for the Neo-Tokyo (Mega)-themed season to start, and that too for a good reason.

This time the developers have gone ‘neon’ with all the bells and whistles. Epic Games has done the necessary through teasers and artwork instead of letting data miners expose everything during downtime. Let’s just say that whatever comes out of FortniteMega will be absolutely incredible.

When Will Fortnite Be Back Up?

As of now, we have no idea how long today’s “official” Fortnite maintenance will last. Because the developers have already warned that the patch files will be greater than usual, we should expect this to take some time. According to GameSpot, on March 10, 2023, between 7 and 8 a.m. Eastern Time, players will be able to hot-drop into Season 4, Chapter 2. You can check the official tweet by Fortnite Status below.

The idea is appealing, but considering that it’s a weekday for those in that time zone, they might not be able to play until late afternoon or perhaps later. Players in Asia, however, won’t have any trouble signing in until the patch goes live in the late afternoon or early evening (local time), depending on where they live.

Fortnite’s Newest Patch, Version 24.00, Adds New Features And Fixes Certain Bugs

The obvious change is a future Japan setting, but there are also other substantial additions to the content. Two of these will make a huge difference in the game.

If you’re interested in learning more about Fortnite, you can do so by visiting the posts below:

The first noticeable alteration is the introduction of a first-person mode. Players will now be able to change from third-person to first-person point of view.  It will be interesting to see how they manage to construct with this new perspective in play, even if there is some doubt about it. You can also see the official tweet by Fortnite below which contains a small glimpse of FortniteMega.

The second update is that Fortnite now uses the Creative 2.0/Unreal Engine (UEFN). Now that Unreal Engine 5.1 is being used, players will have the capacity to make truly breathtaking customized experiences.

In addition to these substantial alterations, it has been speculated that a new style of movement would also be included. It appears that players will be able to wall-run in this game. Epic Software has been implementing new movement systems into the game since the beginning of Chapter 3, but whether or not this claim pans out remains to be seen.

Recent artwork provided by Epic Games further verifies the inclusion of a new class of vehicle. Compared to the previously published Trail Thrasher, this vehicle appears to be larger and heavier. Despite the fact that we don’t know much about it yet, we do know that it has a boost function.

Finally, the island will be outfitted with neon-themed landmarks and points of interest (POIs) to complete the futuristic Japanese concept. Leaks say that all available vehicles will also be updated to fit the new theme, and that many existing POIs will be redesigned to do so as well.

The loot pool has been updated with various new weapons and goods, including a new shotgun and katana. The Waist Grappler Mythic, which takes inspiration from the Attack on Titan’s Omni-Directional Mobility Gear, is one of the most talked-about upcoming upgrades.

All that being said, FortniteMega – Chapter 4 Season 2 is only getting started with all the brand new content it has in store. More weapons, goods, and island assets will be made available to players during the season. By the looks of things, this season is going to be one for the record books.
