We don’t need roads to get where we’re going today. In 1985, millions of people got a look at what the future might be like thanks to the Back to the Future movies. We didn’t invent time travel or hoverboards, which still makes us mad, but we did get an interesting look at the future that has already happened. More to come on that. Back to the Future Day is on October 21 because that’s when Marty McFly first goes back in time and starts his definitely existential journey.
There are a lot of plot twists and turns in the original movie, but what really makes it worthy of its own day is that it shows early versions of tech we use today, such as large flat screens, virtual reality eyewear, video conferencing, computer tablets, and biometric scanners.

Is There Going To Be A New Back To The Future 4?
The sci-fi comedy film was made by Robert Zemeckis and came out in 1985. It introduced one of the coolest characters of all time… Biff Tannen—just kidding. Marty McFly, who was played by the great Michael J. Fox, is the obvious answer. Since then, people of all ages have loved his amazing story about traveling through time, and the trilogy, which includes two sequels that came out in 1989 and 1990, is one of the most loved in the history of movies.

KrayZmnd recently put a fake trailer for Back to the Future 4 on Facebook with the words “I’ve been waiting so long for this!” The trailer shows news clips and then the famous DeLorean from the first three movies setting off on another trip through time. At the time of this writing, the trailer has been seen a whopping 12 million times and has been shared and liked a whopping 270 thousand times. Many people share it because they think it’s true.
The trailer isn’t official because it was made by fans. Since Screen Culture put it on YouTube a year ago, 275k people have watched it. You can watch the trailer below:
Even though the widely shared trailer isn’t real, it’s still worth asking: is there a new Back to the Future coming out that doesn’t have a trailer yet? No, there isn’t going to be a fourth Back to the Future movie. MovieWeb says that both Backs to the Future producer Bob Gale and director Robert Zemeckis have said more than once that there shouldn’t be a fourth film after the original trilogy.
A fourth film would also need their approval. Taking all of this into account, it’s very unlikely that there will ever be a fourth movie in the series. Even though this might disappoint some fans, there are probably twice as many who think the trilogy should stay the same. A trilogy.
