What Is The Release Date Of The Mandalorian Season 3

The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer

After its exclusive premiere at Star Wars Celebration, the trailer for season three of The Mandalorian has officially been released. Mando and Baby Yoda are reunited in the film, and the two share many adorable exchanges, while we also get our first live-action look at Mandalore.

The Armorer is upset with Din Djarin for taking off his helmet, and Bo-Katan has some harsh words for him. Also, Babu Frik (or at least a creature of the same kind) makes an appearance. At Star Wars Celebration, another tiny bit of footage was shown. You might also like to read the similar post we have covered OBX Season 4 Release Date.

Further footage was shown offstage at the Brazil Comic-Con. A longer version of the trailer was shown, which, according to Collider, showed Grogu using the Force to drive someone out of a cave. Andor, the city planet from the prequels, as well as “monkey lizards” and cooperative Mandalorians are rumoured to have appeared in the footage, as well. Mando is also confronted by Bo-Katan, who tells him that his future is dishonourable because of his decision to miss the Mandalorian conflict.

In January of 2023, another trailer was released for season 3 of The Mandalorian, providing even more information on what to expect. Several hidden references were included, such as Order 66 and Salacious B. Crumb. In the trailer, it is made very apparent that Din Djarin will be travelling to Mandalore in search of forgiveness. You can see the tweet below in which it is said that Grogu is back in Mandalorian Season 3.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Cast

The cast of The Mandalorian season 3 is exquisite. Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, is coming back, and Grogu is coming back with him.

Actor Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, told EW that his character will have a larger role in the third film. “I have a feeling you’ll see more of me next season. More than likely you’re going to see a lot of Moff Gideon.”

Carl Weathers revealed at Steel City Con that he will reprise his role as Greef Karga and direct the sequel. Katee Sackhoff’s return as Bo-Katan and the conclusion of season 2 of The Mandalorian suggests that she will be targeting the Darksaber, which is now in the hands of Din. Although her future following her cameo in The Book of Boba Fett is unclear and a spin-off starring Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka is in the works, the Force will likely bring back the character. Christopher Lloyd, who played Marty McFly in the original “Back to the Future,” has also reportedly joined the cast.

Meanwhile, Sasha Banks (Mercedes Varnado) has stated that she would not be returning as Koska Reeves in the third season.

Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano, is another character who won’t be making an appearance. The general public assumed she would play a significant role in the Rangers of the New Republic spinoff. But, due to Carano’s controversial social media posts, Lucasfilm has terminated all relations with her. The Rangers of the New Republic spin-off, which she was set to star in, has apparently been cancelled, and she will not be returning for season 3 of The Mandalorian.

So, what about Bill Burr’s character, Migs Mayfeld? The actor told Screen Rant about season 3 and made the following comments: “Oh, I hope so. Jon Favreau and Rick Famuyiwa, who wrote both of my episodes that I did – to be a small part of something that big that is that good that means so much to so many people. I’m obviously not allowed to say anything other than I just absolutely love being on that show and I hope it continues and if it doesn’t, I’ve had a blast.”

Bryce Dallas Howard will direct an episode once again. Two episodes of The Mandalorian and the acclaimed “Return of the Mandalorian” chapter in The Book of Boba Fett were directed by her.

The little fuzzy creature known as Babu Frik first appeared in The Rise of Skywalker and will make his way into The Mandalorian season 3 this year. You can also see the tweet below in which it is said that Mandalorian is back with its new season.
