Terrifier 2 Release Date: One of the most horrifying clowns are coming back to our screens. Terrifier 2 will be released later this week, just in time for Halloween! Art, the Clown, is ready to return in the highly anticipated sequel to 2016’s Terrifier, doing everything he does best — frightens! Writer, producer, and director of the first Terrifier, Damien Leone, was the first to reveal that the sequel draught was complete in February 2019 Instagram.
Because Leone did not want to sell the right of Art the Clown to major studios, he sought funds from individual investors. To further fund the effects, Leone also started an Indiegogo campaign. The campaign was a great success as it hit $250k above a $50k goal, with supporters excitedly awaiting the sequel. After hearing the positive feedback from the campaign, Leone decided to make a third and fourth film.
Casting was then revealed in September and October 2019, with filming beginning that same month. However, due to COVID-19, production was halted in March 2020, delaying the film’s release. But Leone did release a teaser trailer for Terrifier 2 in July 2020, giving fans a sneak peek of Art the Clown back to scaring on Halloween.
Leone stated in July 2021 on his Instagram that filming had fully ended. Art, the Clown, made his debut in All Hollows Eve by Sergio Leone, and the first Terrifier provided further background on him. He is recognized as one of the creepiest clowns in the movie merely because he never speaks or utters a single sound.
Terrifier focused on Art The Clown pursuing and frightening three girls on Halloween night. One of the females, Victoria, ends up surviving the night but not without a scarred visage from Art the Clown eating her face. The trailer for Terrifier 2 was published on August 23.
Terrifier 2 then had its world premiere at FrightFest on August 29, with fans who were at the event applauding the sequel on social media, claiming it is better than the first. Along with Leone, the picture is produced by Phil Falcone, Steven Della Salla, Jason Leavy, and Michael Leavy.

Terrifier 2 Cast
Terrifier 2 will star David Howard Thorton, who will reprise his role from the original film as Art the Clown. Lauren LaVera (Iron Fist) will portray the significant role of Sienna, the film’s main protagonist and heroine. Newcomer Elliot Fullman plays Jonathan, Sienna’s little brother who, before the tragic events, wants to dress like Art the Clown for Halloween on Halloween night.
Along with Thorton, several cast members will return to Terrifier 2, including Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria, one of Art the Clown’s victims in the original film. Victoria was the sole victim to survive, but not without a permanent mark on her face.
Art, the Clown, was halfway through devouring Victoria’s face when the police came, permanently disfiguring her, altering the course of her life, and making her the antihero of the first Terrifier. Additional returning cast members include the two police officers thought to be repeating their roles and Micahel Levy, who in the first Terrifier played Will the Exterminator but will return as the voice of the club DJ in Terrifier 2.

Terrifier 2 will focus again on Halloween night, one year after the events from the original film. Art the Clown, a local legend who was killed but brought back to life by something evil, returns to Miles County on Halloween night to prey on a teenage girl named Sienna and her younger brother.
One of the primary complaints about the original Terrifier was that it lacked a compelling story. From that feedback, Leone crafted a plot for Terrifier 2 that focuses more on the central characters. Leone discussed the film’s protagonist Sienna, who dresses as an angel for Halloween, in greater depth during an interview with Halloween Daily News. He says:
She is the central figure in the second part, and everything else is secondary to her. So, I understood that germ of an idea was always present. It was also one of my quicker pieces to write. When I got time to sit down and do nothing but write the script, I guess I did it in like three months. And it just spilled out of me. It came naturally, which is a positive thing, I think.”
Terrifier 2 Trailer
The official Terrifier 2 trailer was published on August 24, 2022, and it shows the reanimated killer clown terrorizing a young woman and her younger brother in the days leading up to Halloween. Art can be seen dancing, laughing maniacally, and chasing the main protagonist while covered in blood while wearing his signature black and white clothing, complete with a little hat and full of rotting teeth.
