Since so many people seem to be enjoying the game, you don’t just have to take it from me. According to VG247, Splatoon 3 has sold a whopping 3.45 million physical and digital copies, making it Japan’s best-ever game launch.
In contrast, according to @GameDataLibrary on Twitter, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which sold over 2.68 million copies at its Japanese launch, was the previous top game. Furthermore, just 150K units were sold in the first week of the first Splatoon game’s introduction, which was far lower.
