The series, which has been airing on TLC since 2010, follows Kody Brown and his four wives (Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn) and their 18 children as they try to live a polygamous lifestyle in the face of widespread social disapproval.
Christine, Kody’s third wife, made the announcement that she was quitting their relationship during the finale of Season 15. She cited the fact that the “intimate portion” of their marriage was over as the reason why she was doing so. In addition, it appears that this news will continue throughout the following season as well.

Is there a trailer for Sister Wives Season 17?
There most certainly is! After 25 years of marriage, Christine is seen in the dramatic teaser for Sister Wives Season 17 announcing to her family that she is divorcing Kody, and the video then flashes to emotional scenes of her family and friends attempting to come to terms with her choice.
Christine tells the cameras that she believes Kody cares more about Robyn (his fourth wife), while Kody believes that because Christine left, “The message that we had to the world about functional polygamy seems so dysfunctional now.” (The message that we had to the world about functional polygamy seems so dysfunctional now.) Later on in the preview, he yells at her, screaming, “After all these years, the sacrifices I made to love you, it’s just a knife in the kidney!”
When does Sister Wives Season 17 Premiere?
The fate of this family will be revealed on Sister Wives, which will premiere on TLC on Sunday, September 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
Christine Brown, the third woman to marry Kody Brown, makes an announcement that she is leaving the family in the new trailer for Season 17 of the reality show “Sister Wives,” which airs on TLC.
During the course of the trailer, she makes the comment, “I feel like to Kody, Robyn’s more important.” She is alluding to Kody’s fourth wife, Robyn Brown.
In another part of the video that lasts for two minutes, we see Kody’s first wife, Meri Brown, sobbing as she describes Christine as “more than a sister wife.” This is because Christine is also a friend of Meri’s. Due to the fact that Kody and his four wives have a combined total of 18 children, it is likely that the two will maintain their tight relationship.
Since the first season of “Sister Wives” premiered in 2010, the show has provided viewers with in-depth coverage of Kody Brown’s polygamous relationship with Meri, Christine, Robyn, and Janelle Brown.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, he and all of the wives had a rocky relationship throughout the previous two seasons. He broke up with Meri in Season 15 when he said he doesn’t love her, but Season 16 focused on other relationships, such as that of Kody and Janelle.
Then, in the concluding episode of the previous season, Christine announced that she is quitting their partnership after 25 years, giving the following explanation: “The intimate part of our marriage is over. To tell you the truth, I can’t stand the thought of that happening. It is not acceptable to me to remain in a marriage in which there is no physical or sexual closeness. That’s not even close to being a marriage. I have no interest in a partial marriage, a half marriage, or any other form of marriage that we may have.
Kody seems to be questioning the current state of the dynamic of the family as a whole in the new trailer. He also made this observation in an interview, saying, “The message that we gave to the world about functional polygamy seems so dysfunctional now.”
At the very end of the film, he can be seen yelling at Christine in front of the other individuals, telling her that “You never tried to establish really excellent relationships with these people, and that’s the reason I’m pissed off… After all these years and all the things I’ve given up because I love you, this is nothing more than a dagger in the kidney.
