Ozzy Osbourne Will Undergo A Major Life Defining Operation

According to his wife Sharon, Ozzy Osbourne will have a “big operation Today.” She briefly mentioned her husband’s tough surgery during a recent interview on her UK talk programme Talk TV. The 73-year-old Black Sabbath frontman has been suffering from neck pain for over two decades as a result of a quad riding accident, but the nature of the exact medical operation he requires is unknown.

“He has a significant procedure on Monday,” she said to her fellow panellists. “It’ll truly shape the rest of his life.”
Sharon, who will be celebrating her 40th wedding anniversary with Ozzy in July, said she had to go back to Los Angeles for the procedure. “I’m just waiting on some more surgery on my neck,” he told Classic Rock magazine in May. “I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.” When asked whether he ever considered his own mortality, Ozzy said that while he reflected on the past, he felt positive about his future.

“I’ve done quite well at 73,” he remarked. “I have no plans to go, but my time will come.” He also touched on another difficult subject for the family: sobriety. Ozzy addressed his substance addiction problems straight on after decades of drinking and drugging and opted to become clean eight years ago.
Ozzy and Sharon’s son Jack Osbourne, 36, has been sober for 18 years, and although their daughter Kelly, 37, suffered a small lapse in her sobriety last year, she is now pregnant and expecting her first child with a boyfriend Sid Wilson of SlipKnot.

He even has a granddaughter whom she loves the most. Fans are in deep shock as this surgery will define the rest of his life

In the early 2000s, MTV spotlighted Osbournes’ life as renowned stars — and the offspring of rock royalty — with an unscripted programme about the family. The show debuted in 2002 and continued for four seasons, with the final episode airing in 2005.
The Osbournes talked with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” in 2019 about Ozzy’s mishap in the shower in which he loosened metal screws in his spine (from the quad crash in 2003), necessitating neck and back surgery.

“It was pitch dark when I had the fall,” he remembered. “I tripped and fell in the restroom. I simply collapsed and slammed against the floor, and I remember lying there thinking calmly, ‘Well, you’ve done it now.’ Sharon dialled 911. It was all downhill after that.” The family also discussed Ozzy’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease, a neurodegenerative ailment that may cause tremors, balance problems, and sluggish movement. The illness has no recognised cure. Let’s hope this surgery becomes successful and we get the star back.
