The album’s title song, like most of what has been made public about what the project comprises, is an ambitious attempt by HARDY to elevate his standing from working-class hero to working-class superhero. The album will also feature “red,” a duet with his regular partner Morgan Wallen, as well as the previously released singles “here lays country music,” “JACK,” and “TRUCK BED,” as well as his current country radio smash, the Lainey Wilson duet “wait in the truck.”
The 17-track album is produced by a who’s who of Music Row greats from the contemporary age, including Joey Moi, Derek Wells, David Garcia, and others. Additionally, Hardy collaborates on his sophomore album with NSAI Songwriter of the Decade Ashley Gorley, Rhett Akins, Hillary Lindsey, Jessie Jo Dillon, Hunter Phelps, Jordan Schmidt, and others.

Mockingbird And The Crow Release Date
The three new songs were revealed to be a part of the Mississippi native’s second studio album the following day, on Monday, October 10. The Mockingbird & THE CROW, which will be released on January 20, 2023 (via Big Loud Records), will include 17 songs, including three duets: the chart-topping “wait in the truck” with Lainey Wilson, one with Morgan Wallen, and another with Jeremy McKinnon of A Day To Remember.
In a press statement, HARDY stated that “the mockingbird & THE CROW is, in my opinion, the best thing I’ve done so far.” “With some of my favorite people in Nashville, I had plenty of time to go into the weeds while recording this album, and it genuinely reflects every aspect of who I am as an artist. The album, which was recorded in Nashville’s Ocean Way and Blackbird Studios and will be split 50/50 between rock and country, was entirely produced by Joey Moi with co-production from HARDY, and Derek Wells and co-production on a few individual tracks from David Garcia, Jordan Schmidt, Ben Johnson, Andrew Wade, Jeremy McKinnon, and Cody Quistad. A number of Nashville’s most in-demand songwriters, including Ashley Gorley, Rhett Akins, Hillary Lindsey, Jessie Jo Dillon, David Garcia, Hunter Phelps, Jordan Schmidt, and more, collaborated with HARDY on every song on the album.
