According to reports, Baumgartner and Costner first crossed paths on a golf course in the 1980s while Costner was doing on-location shooting for the 1996 film “Tin Cup.” The actor didn’t start dating Baumgartner until 1999, long after he had divorced his first wife.

They had a brief breakup in 2003 because Baumgartner wanted a family, and Costner wasn’t sure he was ready. Still, they reconciled, married in 2004 in Aspen, Colorado, and had three children over the next several years.

Costner, 68, is going through his second divorce. Formerly married to Cindy Silva, the “Dances with Wolves” actor is now single. Their 1994 divorce was one of the costliest in Hollywood history, costing an estimated $80 million, and marked the end of their 16-year marriage.

TMZ reports that Baumgartner is not seeking alimony. Star divorce lawyer Laura Wasser filed a response on Costner’s behalf: “Spousal support to be payable to petitioner pursuant to the terms of the parties’ Premarital Agreement.” This indicates, essentially, that a prenuptial agreement was made.
