The 20-year-old breaststroke specialist Jadyn Jannasch is a junior at Louisiana State University and has competed for the Tigers at the last two SEC Championships. As a freshman and sophomore, Jannasch competed in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, and 200-yard breast in the SEC Championships, however, she has never advanced past the preliminary round. With personal best speeds of 24.70 in the 50 free, 1:02.31 in the 100 breasts, and 2:15.61 in the 200 breasts, Jannasch joined the LSU program in 2020.
She has lowered some of those scores in Baton Rouge, but not all of them. This is Jannasch’s last season competing alongside her brother Jack, a graduate student on the men’s team, who is a member of the same squad. Jannasch majors in mass communication in the classroom. First Team All-State selection for all four years at Frisco High in Texas prior to joining the Tigers. She qualified three times for Junior Nationals while competing for Lakeside Aquatic Club.
