GoldenEye 007 Xbox: The long-awaited 007 GoldenEye installment is coming to the Switch and Xbox. Rare, developer of the classic Nintendo 64 game GoldenEye 007, said today that the remastered version of the game would be released for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox shortly. According to a post on the official 007.com website, it will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online, albeit the online multiplayer modes will be limited to the Switch edition. Microsoft stated to The Verge that the Xbox version does not support online multiplayer due to differences between the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions.
However, Microsoft claims to have created a “faithful reproduction” of GoldenEye 007. It appears that Nintendo is using the original game. GoldenEye 007’s release date has not yet been confirmed for either console.
