GoldenEye 007 Xbox: The long-awaited 007 GoldenEye installment is coming to the Switch and Xbox. Rare, developer of the classic Nintendo 64 game GoldenEye 007, said today that the remastered version of the game would be released for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox shortly. The updated Xbox One version boasts 4K resolution, improved frame rates, and split-screen local multiplayer.
According to a post on the official 007.com website, it will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online, albeit the online multiplayer modes will be limited to the Switch edition. Microsoft stated to The Verge that the Xbox version does not support online multiplayer due to differences between the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions.
However, Microsoft claims to have created a “faithful reproduction” of GoldenEye 007. It appears that Nintendo is using the original game. GoldenEye 007’s release date has not yet been confirmed for either console.
Xbox One players may look forward to reintroducing the traditional story mode and cheat modes, as well as support for two analog sticks and a native 16:9 aspect ratio at up to 4K resolution. GoldenEye 007 is a bonus game that comes at no extra cost with the digital version of Rare Replay.
Due to licensing and copyright concerns, an agreement to release the HD remaster for Xbox 360 in 2008 was never finalized, so it has been a long time. Last year, a leaked HD remake of the game surfaced, featuring the original single-player campaign and even local split-screen multiplayer.
For the first time, Xbox and Nintendo Switch owners now enjoy an official remaster of GoldenEye 007 on their respective systems. Many companies have tried and failed to recreate the success of the original GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64. Along with this, you may also read Autumn Falls Death

Activision made one such attempt. Additionally, fans have successfully recreated GoldenEye 007 in several other engines, only to have attorneys from rights holders MGM go after one of these projects in 2020. Rare, the original game’s developers also made a sequel in 2000 called Perfect Dark.
In 2010, a remaster appeared, with a similar aesthetic and engine improvements but a whole new intellectual property. The introduction of a remastered version of GoldenEye 007 coincides with celebrations marking 60 years since the release of the first James Bond film.
On October 5th, there will be a culmination of events celebrating James Bond Day. Aside from the introduction of GoldenEye 007, Nintendo has also revealed that Pokémon Stadium, Mario Party, Pilotwings 64, 1080° Snowboarding, and Excitebike 64 will all be coming to Nintendo Switch Online shortly.
