Finally Xbox Will Be Introducing Persona Series! Check Out Latest Details

Xbox finally introduces Persona Series which includes Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal, three beloved Persona Series JRPGs, is coming to Xbox and PC, Microsoft announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022.

The first will be Persona 5 Royal, which will be released on October 21st. That game is currently only available on PlayStation platforms, so the upcoming Xbox and PC releases represent a significant expansion for the game. If you haven’t played it yet, I cannot recommend it highly enough — it oozes style, and by the end of the game, you’ll really feel like you connect with the many characters you meet.

Persona 3 Portable debuted on the PSP in 2006. Persona 4 Golden was a port of Persona 4 that first appeared on the PS Vita in 2012. Microsoft stated that they will be available in 2023.

Persona Series

Atlus released Persona 5 in 2016. It is set in modern-day Tokyo and follows Joker, a high school student who transfers to a new school after being falsely accused of assault and sentenced to probation. Over the course of a school year, he and other students awaken to a special power, becoming the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a secret vigilante group. They journey into the Metaverse, a supernatural realm created by humanity’s subconscious desires, in order to steal malevolent intent from adults’ hearts. The party, as in previous games in the series, battles Shadows with physical manifestations of their psyche known as Personas. Along with social simulation scenarios, the game includes role-playing and dungeon crawling elements.

Persona 3 Portable

Persona 3 Portable, an enhanced port of Persona 3 for the PlayStation Portable, was released in Japan on November 1, 2009, and in North America on July 6, 2010.  It was released on April 29, 2011, in most of Europe, and on April 28, 2011, in the United Kingdom. The announcement in Famits revealed that the player would be able to play as a female character. This choice alters some aspects of the story: the Protagonist’s first Persona, Orpheus, has a different appearance; Igor’s assistant in the Velvet Room, Elizabeth, can be replaced with a male equivalent named Theodore. Some aspects of the Social Link stories are also affected by gender. In addition to the new playable character, there are two new difficulty levels to choose from, in addition to the original game’s three. Persona 3 Portable only includes the story of the original Persona 3, also known as “The Journey”; however, general changes to the plot have been made regardless of character choice.

Persona 4, also known outside of Japan as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus. It was re-released in April 2014 as a PlayStation 2 Classic for the PlayStation 3. Persona 4 takes place in a fictional Japanese countryside and is only loosely related to previous Persona Series games. The protagonist is a high-school student who relocated to the countryside from the city for a year. During his year-long stay, he becomes involved in investigating mysterious murders with a group of friends while harnessing the power to summon physical manifestations of their psyches known as Personas.
