A protection order against Roiland was issued in the same month, preventing him from approaching or coming within 100 feet of the Jane Doe victim. This protective order is still in place as of October 2023. Roiland was presented with a plea agreement, his counsel reportedly informed the court, according to NBC News. Only a few days have passed since the Hulu premiere of Koala Man, the new animated comedy that Roiland is executive producing.

Rick and Morty were co-created by Roiland and Dan Harmon in 2013, and in the ten years since then, it has purportedly grown into a billion-dollar business.
