As a result of the Virginia Jury’s defamation complaint against Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Amber Heard was granted $2 million in damages. A $2 million defamation award has been contested by the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ actor. An official notice of intent to appeal the verdict in Depp’s trial against her has led to this development.
“Plaintiff and counterclaim-Defendant John C. Depp, II, via counsel, hereby appeals to the Court of Appeals of Virginia from all adverse judgments and from the final judgment order of this Circuit Court entered on June 24, 2022,” said the notice of appeal, according to Deadline.com. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny Depp has also reportedly signed up for the treatment.
Actress Amber Heard was ordered to pay a portion of Johnny Depp’s damages because a Virginia law limits punitive damages (the judge reduced the amount). Heard’s countersuit resulted in a $2 million damage verdict after she won one of the three slander allegations. Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, will get a new iteration in the form of ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ an OTT series that will debut in 2024 with an 18-episode first season.
Vincent D’Onofrio, who played mob leader Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin in a recent Marvel series, is reportedly joining Cox on the project.
Powered Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made the announcement of Daredevil’s return at Comic-Hall Con’s H on Saturday. Since Netflix’s ‘Daredevil,’ which starred Charlie Cox, was canceled after three seasons in 2018, fans have been eagerly awaiting this new series based on his character.
Following the appearances of Daredevil (Cox) and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ there have been whispers of a Daredevil series comeback. Matt Murdock, alias Daredevil, is an attorney by day and a vigilante at night. In addition to reprising the role in OTT’s upcoming series “Echo,” which is set to premiere next year, Cox will also be lending his voice to the upcoming animated series “Spider-Man: Freshman Year.”.
A teaser trailer for ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,’ in which he plays the Daredevil character, was shown on Saturday in San Diego; however, his involvement in the show was apparently not previously announced. It was recently announced at Comic-Con that two Avengers films will be released in 2025 to wrap up Phase 6 of the MCU.
According to reports, Marvel CEO Kevin Feige’s unveiling of the two new films on Saturday comes three years after the record-breaking ‘The Avengers: Endgame’ blasted the doors and walls off box office worldwide. The Russo Brothers’ film, which stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and was directed by them, has grossed over $2.79 billion worldwide.
“Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” will hit theatres on May 2 and November 7 of the same year in 2025, a mere six months apart. Avengers: Endgame came out over a year after ‘Avengers: Infinity Wars,’ which was released in 2018. Announcing that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on the verge of a crossover event that could reshape the MCU from the ground up makes it clear that the multiversal shenanigans of Loki, Spider-Man.
No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are leading the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a cataclysmic crossover event to end all crossover events. The directors of these two new movies, as well as the identities of the Avengers who will appear in them, have not been made public yet.
In truth, nothing was known about the next Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) beyond the two Avengers films and the long-anticipated ‘Fantastic Four reboot, which will debut on November 8th, 2024. Kevin Feige recently stated that a ‘Fantastic Four’ film will be featured in the MCU Phase 6 and released on November 8, 2024, which is the date of the film’s release.
As far as we know, no actors or actresses have been named for the project. ‘Fantastic Four’ has a rich film history, but it has taken longer than intended to incorporate them into the MCU. The film’s director, Jon Watts, had been announced to be attached to the project during the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Director Jon Watts was announced to be directing the film at the 2020 Disney Investor Day by Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige.
Due to his exhaustion from creating three Spider-Man films in a row, Watts decided in spring 2022 to step aside as director of all future Spider-Man films. Mister Fantastic, Jessica Alba as Invisible Woman, Michael Chiklis as the Thing, and Chris Evans as the Human Torch starred in the first ‘Fantastic Four’ film. In 2007, ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,’ a sequel that wasn’t as successful but included the cosmic enemy Galactus, was released, and a third picture was apparently canceled.
Reboots by Josh Trank were met with scathing reviews when they were released in 2015. Invisible Woman was performed by Kata Mara, Mister Fantastic was played by Miles Teller, Jamie Bell played the Thing, and Human Torch was played by Michael B. Jordan.
