A subsidiary of GTR Group, Inc., Mad Catz is a large-scale manufacturer and publisher of videogame and PC accessories. The company\'s product lines include racing wheels, controllers and add-ons.
In January 2003, Mad Catz acquired the GameShark brand name and website rights from Recoton Corporation -- the corporation that also owned InterAct Accessories. This acquisition allowed Mad Catz to continue to provide enhancement codes and devices under the GameShark brand. In March of 2003 GameShark for PS2 and PSX was re-introduced into the marketplace with future plans for Game Boy Advance, Xbox, and GameCube.
