It’s a big trailer day today, following on from the Spike TV Video Game Awards. What’s next on the list? Prototype 2. This time, you play as Sergeant James Helen, a ‘retired’ soldier hell bent on bringing Alex Mercer to justice. This time, it really is personal.

It seems Radical are masters of virtually blowing everything up, and from watching the Prototype 2 trailer, that isn’t about to change. Playing as an ex-marine, your character is tasked with ‘destroying your maker,’ Alex Mercer, from the original prototype.

The core gameplay doesn’t look like it’s drastically changed, but it’s early days yet, so watch this space.

hm... idk if i like the idea of trying to destroy alex, he was a tight superhero/villain. i'd rather continue playing as him

its funny to see you being a black guy in this game, because in the 1st prototype i remember if you look at any of the soldiers every single one of them is white
