Anybody who knows anything about games may remember Dead Space, a survival horror game by EA that was a cross between Resident Evil and Doom 3. The game recieved critical acclaim, encouraging the developers to create a sequel. And guess what? The demo is out in two weeks. In the demo players will be making use of a few new weapons, traversing through a ‘church of Unitology,’ and jumping around like a creepy space child in 360 degree zero – G jet boots. Oh yeah. According to Steve Papoutsis, Dead Space’s Exectutive Producer:
The holidays are a great time to enjoy all forms of entertainment, and we can’t wait to give horror and action adventure gamers a taste of what awaits them in Dead Space 2. Releasing the demo five weeks before launch will not only re-connect players with our hero Isaac Clarke, but will also give them the opportunity to experience firsthand various jaw-dropping scenarios. It’s gonna be awesome!
This has certainly peaked my excitement.
