Tired of the same old white/black/red/blue/green coloured controllers? Is your controller just not as aesthetically pleasing as it once was? Well, prepare to be amazed, Microsoft is launching a matte silver controller with grey face buttons! Wait, what?
The new controller is available November 9, yours for only $65. Whilst the colour choice may not thrill you, the real kicker here is the 2-way directional pad. You can push down the D-Pad corners to form four clear arrow buttons, or pull it up again to create a ‘sweeping disc effect,’ reminiscent to how it was before.
According to the press release, “Select the traditional plus for distinct cardinal direction movement in games like “Halo: Reach” to change weapons and perform complicated combinations and deadly finishing moves in “Street Fighter” games, or rotate the D-pad to the disc format for sweeping motions in games such as “Pro Evolution Soccer 2011.” Choose your favourite controller set-up and experience unrivalled precision for all Xbox 360 games.”
The controller also comes with a play-and-charge kit, providing up to 25 hours of play until you have to re-charge.
