Cliffy B once again confirmed that the Gears of War movie is still a realistic venture, and it’s to hit cinema screens in the near future. The production of the film was rumoured to have stopped, once Len Wiseman (the director,) stopped working on the project at the beginning of 2010.

However, Bleszinski stated that Epic had to go back and start from scratch, redoing the story, and attempting to cut the production costs of the whole project (in order to appeal to film studios.) Cliffy B stated that he wants this to be a quality addition to theatres, with the likes of the Hitman Movie and Tomb Raider giving the gaming industry a bad name to movie – goers.

Cliffy B and the Epic team are doing everything they can to cut the $100 million budget, whilst retaining the level of quality they hoped to achieve in the beginning.
