Its been a while since we heard anything out from Epic. Gears of War 2 was released late 2008 which means it’ll be close to two years since its release this coming season. So far we’ve heard nothing from the famed developer, but that might change tomorrow night. According to Jimmy Fallon’s Twitter Page, Cliff Bleszinski will be showing up on the show to talk about his new game.

There are a few possibilities for what could be announced or talked about on the Late Night, and it might not necessarily be the Gears of War 3 announcement that everyone is predicting. Click the jump for more information.

Kotaku was quick to point out that Bleszinski can be working on other games that are not Gears of War. They cited developer “People Can Fly” which is owned by Epic has a game in the works, or perhaps Epic is getting something set up for Natal/Playstation Move. Realistically though, what would warrant an on-TV appearance? A sequel to one of the most popular multiplayer shooters of all time? Or the announcement of a niche title for a relatively unknown device called “Natal?” When considering those factors, it seems obvious that this is a Gears of War thing, and nothing else. We’ll have to wait and see.

I hope it's Gears 3; the after-credits audio bit from Gears 2 left me hungry for more. And the second game improved nicely on the first so a third could only mean more quality.
