Big Halo News This Week?

Bungie has a reputation of fooling their fans in the past, so it might be best to take some hesitation with this news. Bungie’s twitter has posted an image and hints that “something big is dropping this week.” I’ve got a few ideas of what could possibly be going down this week.

Here are some possibilities (After the jump):

• The obvious guess would be Halo: Reach news, in any way shape or form
• Coupled with that, Halo: Reach is the only announced Halo game in the works, I doubt Microsoft would let the series die off, could be a new game?
• Despite the mixed reception Halo Wars performed very well financially, could be something announced relating to that
• Halo: Reach Beta is announced for May, but other than that we know nothing, so it could be further details
• There’s also the unavoidable fact that April Fool’s Day is this week

My personal opinion is: when taking Bungie’s track record to be pranksters, and the first of April being this week, it seems like the perfect set up for some hilarious gag. On the flip side, they could announce something that sounds amazing and fake, but turns out to be real. You may want to take any news with a grain of salt, but at the same time be open minded. We’ll see how events transpire.
