Football season is now over and if there is anything that collective football fans can look to besides free agency, it’s the release of a new Madden game. That’s not to generalize all pigskin fans as followers of EA Sports grid iron juggernaut, but the release of a new Madden game usually signifies the beginning of another football season.

With Madden 10 EA stepped their game up and crafted one of the best football experiences since the series inception. Many were wondering how they could possibly out do themselves with the inevitable follow-up. If what has been observed in a recent video blog is any indication. EA Sports is definitely trying to expand the Madden experience.

From some still pics that have been taken of the Madden 11 video blog it looks as if EA is going to offer some minor, but game enhancing upgrades. For starters it looks like they are finally going to incorporate team fight songs (E-A-G-L-E-S. . . EAGLES!), as well as new team specific defensive packages (Packers – Psycho Package, Jets – Prowl, etc.). And they could possibly be cutting Tom Hammond the robotic commentator, due to having a slash through his name on one of the white boards. Or his audio could just be finished.

As a certified Madden junkie I was planning on purchasing this game regardless, but having the inclusion of my favorite teams fight song, which is one of the hallmarks of being a Philadelphia Eagles fan (along with no Super Bowl wins), just made the wait until August even longer.
