Pepsi Vanilla

Let's have a history lesson shall we? Way back in the early 1900's, and I mean that literally, around 1903, Coca-Cola was distributed to the mass market. Then, dozens of knock-offs were made, one of them, called Pepsi-Cola.

All but one of the many knock-offs failed. Pepsi somehow survived. But just barely. Pepsi was nothing more than a slightly altered version of Coca-Cola. Except they didn't have all of the ingredients. So they had to find new ways to keep that out of the minds of the public. Catchy commercials. Celebrity appearances. And so on.

Present day. The success of Vanilla Coke has once again prompted Pepsi to rip-off an original idea invented and perfected by a far better and more original company. Now, Pepsi Vanilla, the most unoriginal drink since Pepsi itself, has been introduced.

Seriously, how dumb do the people at Pepsi think we are? It's pretty obvious history is repeating itself here. Coca-Cola comes out with a new, innovative idea, and Pepsi has to copy it because not one person who works there has a creative bone in their bodies. Coca-Cola is Red, so Pepsi had to be Blue. Coke made Cherry Coke, Pepsi had to make Pepsi Blue.... that sounds a bit strange doesn't it?

But don't you all see what I'm getting at? Pepsi thinks they can just copy an idea, slap Britney Spear's face on it and think it'll sell millions. :11:

Actually Pepsi started off with red script, then in support of the American war effort they changed the colors to red, white, and blue. Pepsi Blue was not introduced because of Cherry Coke, Cherry Coke was introduced in 1985, Pepsi Blue in 2002. Now the Vanilla thing looks to be a copy, but the rest is just the workings of business, not copying from Coca~Cola at all.

Lets see... Final it's all subjective.

First off, pepsi may seem like a rip off of coke... but in reality just a different verison maybe in some people's mind a BETTER verison? Maybe the creator of pepsi... thought hmmm this coke is good but maybe it be better if it where like this?

Pepsi Blue was not a rip off in anyway! That's just stupid, it called experimenting with new flavors. Coke doesn't own the right's to that. I believe Pepsi Blue was more of a rip off of Moutain Dew Code Red, but those two product's are made from the same company.

Whoa, do I sense some conflict about to arise here? So exciting. I don't think Pepsi tastes better than Coca Cola. I think it tastes just like Coca Cola... when it's been left out for days and has gone flat. But, I do drink Pepsie occasionaly. When Coke isn't availible or Pepsi Blue just is. I think I'm going to go get a bottle of that stuff right now in fact.
By the way, I've never tried Mountain Dew Code Red, is it any good?

The only reason most people drink fanta is because of ICP. I personally hate it. Code Red is ok, not great. The best thing to drink, that's also cheap, is Kool-Aid. It's not soda, but it's a lot better for you than soda.
