Sources close to Game Informer Online have revealed that there will be an interesting addition to Dead Or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360. While Team Ninja has been rather hush hush on some of the secret characters that will appear in the fighter, we’ve heard that it’s from another well known non-Tecmo franchise. Hrmmm…..
We’re keeping this at rumor status at this point. But lets just say we accidentally overheard a Tecmo employee speaking with another person about this on the show floor at the Tokyo Game Show. Oops.
We’ll have further updates on this discovery once we get more information. Color us intrigued.

Just a rumor but still interesting. I just hope something like Master Chief being in DOA doesn't happen. But Itagaki puts a lot of time and care into his games so I don't think he would let something like that happen.
But if true time for some guesses....
Wouldn't be a Namco fighting game character for sure with how Itagaki bashes them.
He has praised Virtua Fighter recently when talking about DOA4 so I wouldn't rule out a character from that.
He has said good things about Onimusha in the past and a character from that would fit in.
He has said some good things about Z.O.E. but that just wouldn't work.
But my best guess is Dante. Capcom have let him be used in games like Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne so obviously they don't have a problem lending him out. But my guess is because of this part from an interview with him....
Quote:
I met the DMC3 director at E3 last year. While I was out drinking at some bar, this Japanese guy comes wading through the crowd up to me, and he says, "You're Itagaki-san, aren't you?" Pretty outgoing for a Japanese guy, wouldn't you say? Anyway, so I say, "Yes, I am. Who the hell are you?" Yeah, there were two of them there then. I remember. I have a great memory [laughs].
So, he says, "I am the director of Devil May Cry 3; pleased to meet you!" and I said, "Pleased about what, dumbass!" I was drunk at the time, after all. He was young, so I slapped him on the back and said, "You just work hard so that one day people will say 'Team NINJA in the East [Tokyo], Capcom in the West [Osaka]'." The product of his labor after that little pep talk was DMC3.
