“When questioned, an EA representative stated, "We are putting our resources into putting the demo on Xbox Live and we hope to finish it before the game ships. It's all up to Microsoft's Xbox Live team and their approval."”

TalkXbox was the first on the net to break the news regarding the Superman Returns demo coming to Xbox Live. Of course, that wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Electronic Arts themselves. Being invited down to Orlando to meet with Tiburon was an honor. We are looking forward to reviewing Superman Returns in the upcoming weeks. Keep a look out for our full review.

Xbox Live Arcade Game of the Month:
Lumines Live!
“Lumines is a great puzzler that puts the other old and tired puzzle games on XBL Arcade to shame. Its unique gameplay will make Tetris fans go "Huh, wait a sec...Hey this is kinda cool." The visuals are even better than they were on the PSP but it's not quite as portable.”

There was no question when it came to deciding the Xbox Live Arcade game of the month this time around. Lumines is one of the best puzzlers to be released in recent memory and to have it on Xbox Live is a great privilege for all Xbox Live members. Personally, I haven’t been able to play it, but a few staff members are enjoying this unique title every chance they have in their spare time away from Gears of War.

Xbox 360 Game of Month: Need for Speed: Carbon
“The Career Mode in Carbon offers a maximum of 15 hours of gameplay; however there are a number of other features to keep you occupied. First, Challenge Series allows you to play either alone or Co-op as you attempt to beat gold events. The racing modes are just about the same as in Career Mode, with the addition of Race Wars, the massive 20 driver race. Online gameplay is definitely beefed up compared to years past.”

October was a tough month for us with not having the liberty to review every game that was released. We are slowly catching up, but Need for Speed: Carbon takes the cake for “Game of the Month” in October. Racing fans that are finished playing Project Gotham Racing 3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Test Drive: Unlimited should rejoice that Electronic Arts has delivered another solid street racer in time for the holidays.

User of the Month: BalrogofDeath
