Kids Try To Rob Gas Station To Get Money For An Xbox 360

Forrest Gump's mother used to tell him that, "Stupid is, as stupid does." No truer words have been spoken by a fictional handicapped character since. In a story that you're sure to find, appalling, disturbing, funny, or quite possibly all of the above, four teens are being charged with trying to pull an armed robbery for an Xbox 360. The boys who's ages range between 11 and 15, tried to hold up one of their local Chevron Food Stop stores with a pellet gun.

Apparently two of the boys who were siblings, went into the store a little before midnight, one pretended to buy candy, while the other put the clerk (who was described by one of the suspects as "small and scrawny") in a headlock and threatened him with the fake gun. They made off with $200 in cash, which is subsequently not enough money to buy a Xbox 360 Arcade system, when you factor in taxes. And met up with the rest of their party. Everything went sour when the boys were stopped by a police officer, for an unrelated incident (I'm guessing curfew), and the po-po found nothing but the cash on the young chaps.

At that point he just called the guardian they all said they were staying with and let them go. Here is where it gets interesting, while making his rounds the cop happens to stop at the Chevron Food Stop. He takes a look at the security tapes, and notices that the reported robbers are the youths that he stopped earlier, so he goes to the address they were taken to by the guardian, and arrested them.

Speechless because I'm laughing, not shocked because stupid crimes like this happen all the time.
