Updated Again - Select Stores Selling Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Early

Update: The official response from Activision is: "Activision has not given any retailer permission to sell Modern Warfare 2 prior to the Nov. 10 street date. The company fully supports the Nov.10 street date." In this difficult retail climate, GameStop probably fully supports breaking release dates in order to get a head start on their competition! Original story below:
Rumors have been flooding the internet for the last week that Modern Warfare 2 is available as select independent stores. It appears that some GameStop stores mainly in the Northeastern part of the US, have gotten in on the action, as they have decided to *gasp* break the release date on the game.
According to reports, GameStop locations in the New York, Pennsylvannia, and Ohio area have the game for sell right now. An anonymous representative from GameStop stated they were giving the okay from Activision, in order to let them compete with smaller mom and pop stores, who have a history for selling big games early.
So if you live in any of those areas and want to try your luck at calling your local GameStops to see if they will sell you the game, you might be able to score a copy. As someone who has had the game since Friday, already ran through and completed the single-player campaign on Hardened, and purchased it in the LA area. I can definitely confirm that some stores are selling Modern Warfare 2 before November 10.
And as for the next question that you may have, asking if the game is awesome or not? It's pretty epic.
