Here's The Scoop On Crackdown 2

What else can be said about Crackdown? A game that no one gave a chance, became a big hit and was packaged with a beta for one of the most popular videogames in history? Yeah that's Crackdown. Personally I've been clamoring for a sequel every since I completed the first game, I just needed more of the super jumping, orb collecting, car throwing, explosive goodness. So it was a very pleasant surprise when Ruffian Games announced Crackdown 2 at this years E3.

 

So here's the scoop, for those that don't know Crackdown 2 takes place in Pacific City and instead of fighting colorful ethnic gangs, you'll be battling genetically diseased citizens. The game is being developed by about half of the team that worked on the original game, and while it still takes place in Pacific City, it's a set in the distant future so the landscape has changed. Beyond that slight change Ruffian is doing all that they can to make the game bigger and better. One thing that most definitely stayed the same is The Voice aka The Agency, yeah that game show, smart alec commentator is coming back. Love it or hate it (I dug it). What's even better than that? The fact that it looks like they will be retaining the cel shaded graphical stylings from the first game.
