Be On The Look Out For Fake COD5 Beta Invites

Heads up!  If you recieve an email stating that you have been invited to participate in a Beta for Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2, do yourself a favor and put it in your trash bin.  According to Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling, there is no beta for the game and that letter is phonier than a $1 million dollar bill.  Bowling says the letter is "an exact replica" of the one used for the COD4 Beta (which he personally sent out).

What this does do, is speak volumes about how popular Infinity Ward's COD4 was.  I mean people are using the games demographic to try and get out some spam or potentially harmful materials.  What next pop-ups and/or banner ads claiming a free system or game if you click on them?  Er... wait...
