256MB Of Internal Memory Now In Every 360 Arcade

Well it started out as a rumor, speculation ran wild, and now it's been confirmed.  Every new Xbox 360 Arcade console will now have 256MB of internal memory.  A Microsoft spokesperson went on the record to say, "We are constantly updating the consoles more than 1700 internal components. We can confirm that we are moving to internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade. The physical internal memory is the same size as the previous external memory units -- 256MB."

It's a bit unclear if Microsoft still plans to ship the 360 Arcade systems with the included external memory card.  But common sense has me thinking that the 256MB of internal memory is going to be the new standard.  This is a move that is a sure supplement to Microsoft's launching of the New Xbox Experience, which requires 128MB of memory.  That still leaves a good 128MB left over for game saves and some minor content downloads.  No word yet from Microsoft if this is just exclusive to the 360 Arcade SKU or if their other SKUs will be include the feature.  But I would think that it's probably just limited to the 360 Arcade, I mean the other consoles are starting with 60-120GB of space right out of the box.
