New Xbox Originals Game: Zapper

Continuing their seemingly random selection of games to hit Xbox Originals, today Microsoft announced that Zapper, from Atari, will be arrving on Xbox Live Marketplace on November 17 for the typical price of 1200 MS Points ($15).  In this game you play as a cricket who is out to save his brother.  The game plays in a typical platformer manner, so really there is not a whole lot that is special about this game.  Even the Metacritic score on this game is mediocre at 55.

The list of games that is put on Xbox Originals still continues to mystify me.  I honestly don't understand why there aren't more games on there that are actually memorable or even offer some kind of unique gameplay gimmick.  Instead they release stuff like this while they have yet to put Halo 2 on the service.  Hopefully Microsoft comes to their senses soon and learns to skip games of the quality for more popular titles soon.
