EA and ESPN Air 'Madden Nation'

EA and ESPN have announced a new series that will take viewers inside the world of Madden NFL 06. The new reality show, Madden Nation, aired for the first time Tuesday, Dec. 6th at 11:00 and 11:30 ET on ESPN 2. The 8 part series will feature the top Madden gamers taking on big-time NFL players in elimination-styled tournaments. Big players like Michael Vick, Shaun Alexander, and Roy Williams will be featured on the tour, and the finale will have one winner claiming the $100,000 prize. Each of the tournaments will have the gamers taking on 'free agents' that they meet at tour stops in: Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Kansas City, Green Bay, Chicago, Indianapolis, Canton, Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, and New York.

“Madden Nation will give ESPN viewers the best of both worlds: exciting, top-level competition and some of football’s best known players in the biggest game on the market,” said John Skipper, ESPN executive vice president, content.
