MotoGP 2 snags BAFTA awards

BAFTA has lent its voice to the loud chorus already singing the acclaim of Climax's MotoGP 2:Ultimate Racing Technology by putting the high-speed racer forward for two prestigious awards. Following soon after the glowing praise and fantastic review scores of the specialist press, the nominations for the 'Best Racing Game' and 'Best Multiplayer Game' awards serve as testament to the game's outstanding quality and the excellent work of Climax's development team."To have MotoGP:URT 2 nominated for two BAFTA Interactive Awards is a fantastic honour and a huge pat on the back for our development team," said Tony Beckwith, Studio Head of Climax in Brighton. "We always knew we had a winner on our hands, but the response to the game from such illustrious magazines and institutions as Edge and BAFTA has really taken us aback. It's a credit to the talent we have here that MotoGP:URT 2 has achieved such recognition and widespread critical acclaim."
Published by THQ on PC and Xbox, MotoGP:URT 2 was released in May and shot straight to the top of the charts. Praised by gamers and critics alike for its handling, physics, controls and graphics, the game became an instant hit and has since gone on to become one of the most successful racers of all-time.
