EA today released the demo for Superman Returns: The Game, allowing gamers to get a first look at the game. The demo shows off the games open world, with access to a few islands near metropolis. The file is just under 1 GB and is currently available for all Xbox Live Gold Members. Silver subscribers will have access starting 11/22/06.

Today, on the fifth anniversary of Halo’s release, MS and Bungie announced a Xbox Live multiplayer beta for Halo 3 that will be available Spring 2007. Also, the airing of a 60 second Halo 3 teaser trailer has been announced, and also, Bungie will release premium downloadable content for Halo 2, exclusive to the Xbox 360, in Spring 2007. Halo 3 will feature a huge variety of technical and gameplay advancements, and gamers will get a unique first look with the public beta. The feedback from the demo will allow Bungie to refine and hone the end result of the game. December 4th is the date for the airing during Monday Night Football on ESPN. Epic is currently working on a patch to fix the problems with connecting to online sessions of Gears of War. In response to complaints on their forum, Epic has stated “yes, a patch is in the works to address the connection issues as well as several other bugs that have been reported. not sure eon an exact eta, but it won’t be long…” For those having trouble, hang in there, because help is on the way.
